The border between two worlds.

When you cross the border, it goes by in a flash. One moment you're in a completely different world: San Diego, crossing by those grand beach palm trees; The next you're in Tijuana: passing by those little souvenir stores, where everyone roams the streets.
They're both beautiful yet unique at the same time.
If you pay attention in San Diego our houses are built with wood. In Mexico, most of their houses are built with bricks.
Everything seems so organized here. But when you go to the other side things are hectic, but it's not hard to get used to. TJ is like houses stuck with stores &buildings; everything is close by but there are so many people and so many cars it's sometimes hard to get around. But there's just something about it that makes you want to go back!! (Except for the line..)
San Diego is really pretty too. Everything isn't so crowded, and things aren't too close by but they're not exactly far away either. One of my favorite parts of SD is downtown. It's so awesome! The buildings are so tall, and you have the bay right there all for your eyes. There's so many places to go &so much to do. But downtown isn't the only place that's fun. You can go just about anywhere and have a great time &enjoy yourself :].

Thanks for your thoughts, Kimberly. I agree with you -- both cities are uniquely beautiful! I wonder what causes the organization of San Diego, and the seeming disorganization of Tjiuana.. They are so close, and yet, so different. It is strange.

Wow Kimby! I never knew you could write so awesomely. Your post made me feel your feelings. I could see the little puestitos in TJ with all of the little souvenirs. I could also feel the fresh wind and lights of downtown. Keep up the good work.
